Life has its ups and downs, I'll be the first to admit it.
I have dug myself in and out of enough holes to understand how much work it is.
Life isn't always bad, the downswell will come with a surge.
But I never was much of a surfer, was I.
I am always afraid of being dragged under by the undertow of my cynicism, being swept away by the current of my thoughts.
I never imagined that I could be lifted by the waves.
You, dear one, are the waves. Bringing sudden unexpected hope to my life. Hope, and healing.
